She brought into the world two unbelievable men: Donnchad mac Briain (Son of Brian Boru), a High King later in life, and Sitric Silkenbeard, the Norse Gael King of Dublin. Both of these individuals survived the Battle of Clontarf. Gormlaith was well-versed in the art of medieval politics and lived her life by her own rules. Something that has been largely ignored in History.
